How does one go about preparing for a hurricane? I've experienced a monsoon - is it similar? They look very similar, though I think hurricanes are possibly smaller? Not to discount it, of course. I feel as though I should make sure all the perishables are cooked tonight, just in case, though I suppose power outages wouldn't actually have much of an impact on us, would they?

there's probably a generator here, if only because there's the medical area?

but mostly, you tape or board windows, sandbag if needed to prevent flooding, etc.
